Where is Hanslope?![]() Looking NE from Church tower - Horseshoe Cottages in the middle and Eastfield Drive further behind. ![]() Looking NW from Church tower towards Long Street - St. James Close nearby and Western Drive more distant. Hanslope is a village in Milton Keynes Borough in North Buckinghamshire, very close to the Northants County boundary. It has a long history being mentioned in the Domesday Book. You can find a little more about the history of the village by looking at the Hanslope and District Historical Society web site». ![]() The ChurchHanslope church is dedicated to St. James the Great. The spire, visible for many miles around, was rebuilt in Victorian times after being struck by lightning. The flying butresses to the spire are a particularly striking feature. ![]() Thatched CottagesThere are several thatched cottages in the village. The photos show just a few of them. ![]() PubsThere are two pubs in the village, The Cock and The Watts Arms. There is also a third pub, The Globe, in Long Street (about half a mile away). ![]() These pages are best viewed in Internet Explorer 4 or above (or any browser that understands style sheets, and JavaScript), at a screen size of at least 800 x 600 in millions of colours.
