Family - Corduliidae (Emeralds)

Family summary

The Corduliidae are represented by about six species from four genera in France. Most of the species are greenish and metallic in appearence, hence the name "Emeralds". Many species prefer pond and lake margins for breeding while some (Oxygastra and Macromia) can be found by slow moving rivers.
